THE SETUP

Turning regulatory text into an action sequence

Before any screen got designed, two questions shaped everything that followed.

The problem it solves

Adult learners were working through an outdated deck of dense, text-heavy slides covering multi-region childcare law, UK Ofsted and UAE Federal frameworks, causing severe cognitive overload and making compliance training difficult to standardize. The course was rebuilt from the ground up to fix that.

Who it's for

Early Years Educators working toward NCFE CACHE Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas, who need a clear visual and academic structure to apply safety and compliance rules correctly in the classroom, and the teaching team, who gain a reusable structure to keep developing the course further.

Key Design Decisions

A few of the choices that shaped the experience, and why they mattered.

12 modules, mapped as one continuous learner journey

Built after conferring and collaborating with subject matter experts, the program interweaves the Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children & Young People and the Diploma for the Early Years Workforce into a single path, rather than teaching them as disconnected courses, foundational health and development content in Term 1, then safeguarding and legislation in Term 2, building toward full CACHE competency.

Complex pediatric health guidelines, UK Ofsted frameworks, and UAE Federal Law regarding communicable diseases got translated into one unified, actionable sequence, so learners weren't left reconciling conflicting regulatory sources on their own.

Three slides out of 300+, each showing a different piece of the design approach rather than the full deck.
